Shell Catcher for Remington 1100
Shell Catcher for Remington 1100
SKU:LPGW-SHELL-REM-1100-12-RH
The shell catchers were designed for use on the guns in their factory form. Any additional aftermarket parts such as charge handles or lifters that don't use factory dimensions may not be compatible.
These catchers clip on from the bottom of the loading port and then over the ejection port.
If you have a Trap model, the receivers seem to slightly undersized. A thin sheet of adhesive foam is now included. It can be installed by adhering it to the inside bottom lip of the shell catcher to give a tighter fit on the receiver.
It is recommended to remove the shell catcher when not in use. If the shell catcher is on very tight, you can use a wooden dowel to pry the shell catcher off by leveraging it on the ejection port.
There is a slight variance in the receivers, some customers have no problem with the standard 1.1625" version. Others have to do some minor filing for it to fit. There is also a 1.2015" version available if your receiver measures 1.2015" or more. Either version may need some minor fitting but once done will work very well. Please refer to the additional photos reference.
With all the feedback received, we have developed another version to address the following issues.
- The variance in the receiver height from 1.16" to 1.20"
- Magnet coming off
- The compatibility with the use of Dave's Metal Works extended bolt handle and release.
Improvements made
- The shell catcher is now 1.18" and slightly thinner.
- Uses two magnets to stick better.
Now using an epoxy based glue for the magnets.- Now also available in Left Hand
After getting some feedback about the glue (crazy glue than epoxy glue), the magnets are now embedded inside the shell catcher.
We have further revised the design to address the following issues. (5/19/24)
- Slightly loose fit on the Remington 1100 Trap Models
Improvements made
- Added an additional magnet. Shell catcher now has 3 embedded magnets.
- A thin adhesive form stripe is now included if the fit is loose (Remington 1100 Trap Models)
Remington changed the shape of the charge handle from a tear drop shape to a more squared shape with rounded corners. If you have the squared shaped handle, you may need to file some material on the inside corner to clear the shell catcher.
Parts are 3D printed using PLA+ and may require some minor filing to fit.
